If you're looking for a formal dining experience, The Corner House is a beacon for food enthusiasts with a menu that celebrates modern British cuisine and locally sourced ingredients and is praised by locals and national critics alike. If you are looking for a taste of the sea, Chapman's Seafood Restaurant is brimming with the freshest catches sourced from local waters, from succulent lobster and delicate crab to perfectly grilled fish.

If you are looking for as taste of Africa, head to Northgate and visit Chingah Habesha. This Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant provides home cooked, beautifully presented, delicious meals. They have various meat and vegetarian dishes, served with the essential injera bread to soak it up. 

Take a trip to India with The Kashmir Tandoori, situated in a beautiful medieval building on Palace Street, has been serving the residents of Canterbury delicious Bangladeshi and Indian food since 1966.

Or celebrate a fusion of the best of East and West at The Korean Cowgirl. This very popular restaurant blends subtlety-spiced oriental cuisine with the big, brash smoked BBQs of the Texas Panhandle. Think slow-cooked brisket, spicey chicken wings, sticky ribs and delicious drinks.

Try the rectangular-shaped pizza with a thick and chewy Sicilian crust and bubbly cheese. Notorious BRG specialises in delicious burger dishes, fries and mac & cheese. They also offer a very well stocked vegan menu that centres around the idea that vegan food shouldn’t be an afterthought. With limited seating inside, this a great spot to pick up a burger and enjoy in the park with friends.
