Explore Herne Bay's historic seafront with this immersive 'time-travelling' experience

In 1962 writer and producer, Anthony Coburn was considering a whole new means of time travel from the coastal tranquility of his Herne Bay home.
Now over 60 years later, we invite YOU to travel back in time, following in Anthony’s footsteps and glimpsing a Herne Bay of yesteryear - with the Times and Tides tour.
Powered by AR technology, your phone will act as a portal through time allowing you to undertake a journey unlike any other. Leading you to a variety of key locations and offering you a glimpse of pivotal moments in Herne Bay’s history all thanks to the power of augmented reality.
You’ll catch a glimpse of Lancaster Bombers testing their revolutionary bouncing bombs off of Herne Bays shoreline. Catch sight of Amy Johnson flying over Herne Bay’s coast. Not to mention watching prehistoric creatures roaming the hills of the Bay - and so much more!
Prepare to climb aboard the time travelling adventure of a lifetime. The cost is free - just don't forget your phone!
