A gentle 2 km (1¼ mile) guided tour through Westgate Parks, led by a Trustee of the Friends of Westgate Parks community group. This part of Canterbury has a long and complex history relating to the Great Stour, and its use for industry, transport, defence and recreation. Enjoy the riverside gardens, see the adventure playground, visit our urban nature reserve surrounded by the river, meet the Tannery Bull, and return to Westgate Towers via the Roman trail.
Location: meet by rear entrance to the Guildhall (postcode CT1 2DB) on Westgate Gardens Riverside Walk (just beyond the main gated entrance by Westgate Towers, at the beginning of St Dunstan’s Street).
