The Laugh with Fay Evans (Canterbury Children's Literature Festival)

10th July 2026

Join Fay Evans (author of The Laugh and Editorial Director of Flying Eye Books) to explore the importance of our emotions and honesty.

After a read-through of The Laugh, attendees will participate in a sunflowercraft session, decorating their flowers with the things that are important to them and discussing how being open about our emotions is helpful. This session emphasises the importance of creativity and expressing emotions for young people!

Recommended age 3+ This event will be held in the viewing gallery at Canterbury Cathedral, upstairs in the visitor centre.
