Sunrose Arts Festival 2026

Creative projects built by local people, entirely free to attend, bringing art to your doorstep!

Back by popular demand, Sunrose Arts Festival is the highlight of Sunrose Arts CIC’s annual programme; a one day festival full of performances, workshops, scavenger hunts, market stalls, poetry and exhibitions.

Located in the centre of Canterbury at Dane John Gardens, we will be hosting: Exposure Main Stage: A culmination of talent from across the Exposure Open Mic monthly event programme Sanctuary Arts Exhibition: Commissioned works responding to Canterbury, as well as a community gallery Scavenger Hunt: Find hidden pieces of artistic gems across the city Book Fair and Art Market: Local creatives sell their creations, a favourite event at our festival across the years 'We Are' Workshops: A series of workshops for all ages and experiences Creative Circle: A networking space and doodle session for all ages Utterance Grand Slam Final: The conclusive event from our season of worldwide poetry slams at Waterstones, finishing the festival with an Utterance Grand Slam Champion 2026! Creative opportunities are currently open: Paid opportunities close on 25th May, all other opportunities close 29th June!
