This exhibition brings together a selection of drawings, paintings and sculptural dogs that move with instinct rather than instruction.
Across paper, canvas and found materials, Robert’s work follows a restless line. It loops, scribbles, interrupts itself and starts again. Marks accumulate without hierarchy. Colour arrives where it feels needed, not where it is expected. The drawings feel immediate and physical, as if thinking has been replaced by motion.
The paintings extend this language into larger, more layered fields. Text fragments, gestures and colour sit on top of one another, half revealed, half erased.
Nothing is resolved. Everything is in process. Alongside these works are two dog sculptures, assembled from everyday objects. Familiar forms are rebuilt through play, humour and invention. They carry the same energy as the drawings: curious, irreverent and quietly affectionate. The Squiggly Wriggle Show is not concerned with polish or perfection. It is a celebration of movement, persistence and creative freedom.
Made by an artist who continues to follow curiosity wherever it leads, the work invites viewers to do the same. There will also be an exhibition preview evening on Friday 22 May, from 18:00 - 20:00 (drinks and nibbles included!).
