RiverFest: River Nature Boat Tour Session 1

This free 45 minute boat trip is led by Martin Thomas, Tree and Woodland Officer at Canterbury City Council. Martin will share insights along the way into the wildlife that makes the river its home and local efforts to restore river habitat.

This free 45 minute boat trip is led by Martin Thomas, Tree and Woodland Officer at Canterbury City Council. As you glide through the city centre, you’ll pass The Franciscan Gardens, Solly’s Orchard and Abbott’s Mill. Martin will share insights along the way into the wildlife that makes the river its home and local efforts to restore river habitat.
Everyone is welcome, no special knowledge of wildlife required - just an interest in the natural world.
There will be two trips, leaving at 10am and 11am.
Tickets are FREE but booking is essential as places are limited. *Booking opens 1 August*
Meet at The Kings Bridge, Canterbury High Street (in between ASK and The Old Weavers Restaurant)
Please dress for early Autumn weather – anything is possible at this time of year!
