Riverfest: Guided Tree Walk

24th September 2025
Great Stour Riverfest 2025

Join Martin Thomas, Tree and Woodland Officer at Canterbury City Council, for a guided walk looking at trees on and around the River Stour.

Join Martin Thomas, Tree and Woodland Officer at Canterbury City Council, for a guided walk looking at trees on and around the River Stour. Learn how to identify common native species, their importance for the river’s wildlife, and about the trees chosen for our parks and gardens. It's a great way to connect with nature and learn more about the trees in our area.

Meet at Toddlers Cove car park for a 10am start. Circular walk, duration around two and a half hours.

Please dress for the weather, wear suitable footwear for walking and bring along a drink!

Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Tickets link live from 1 August.
