Time: 2-4pm
The Friends of Kingsmead Field and the Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership are hosting an in-river river clean on Tuesday 22 September from 2 to 4pm from Barton Mill to Kingsmead Bridge in Canterbury to remove litter and fly-tipping from the river and the adjacent footpaths along this busy stretch of river.
We are looking for up to 10 volunteers to assist us in the river and further volunteers to litter-pick on the footpaths next to the riverbank. Registration is essential as places are limited by the availability of waders and other equipment. Volunteers who wish to help in the river need to be over 18 and confident in water as this stretch of river can be deep in places.
For more information or registration, please send an email to the email address below. If you wish to volunteer as part of the in-river team, please provide your shoe size so that we can obtain waders to fit you.
