Fright at the Museum: Wicked Whiskers

4th October - 2nd November 2025
The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge

Spooky season is coming up and we’re not surprised that something strange has been happening at The Beaney…

A black cat called Ember has been seen late in the day, searching the museum and there are rumours of a witchy robbery in the works! Help Ember and the other familiars solve interactive puzzles around the museum and rescue powerful objects from the collection.

Complete all six puzzles to collect a tasty treat and enter a prize draw. Age recommendation: Everyone welcome to take part, the trail is particularly popular with children aged 5 – 10. Younger children may need help with solving puzzles and reading.

Accessibility: Combine the trail with a SEND Family Backpack complete with PECS symbol trail. The backpacks have been made with care to support people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to explore the museum. Inside each backpack are fidget toys, sensory aids and a soft toy ‘Beaney Buddy’.

Grand Prize: Complete the trail and fill in a questionnaire to be in with a chance to win £100 of Curzon Gift Vouchers.
