New Year Kickoff Walk – King’s Wood 2026

 A quick intro Join us as we welcome a brand new year of adventures with a refreshing stroll through the ancient woodland of King’s Wood, once a royal hunting forest enjoyed by Henry VIII. It’s a great way to kick off 2026 — reconnect with nature, enjoy good company, and set some positive intentions for the year ahead.

We’ll wander along peaceful trails and open glades, surrounded by winter beauty and plenty of fresh air. Start your year the right way — with good walks, great people, and that unbeatable feeling of being outdoors.

✨ Highlights Explore ancient woodland with historic ties to Henry VIII 🌳 Enjoy peaceful trails and open glades, perfect for photography and nature spotting 📸 Circular route with varied terrain, including one scenic incline 🥾 Chance to spot wildlife, including deer and woodland birds 🦌🐦 Social walk — meet like-minded people and start the year positively 🤝 Includes a short break midway to rest and enjoy the surroundings ☀️

🎒 Your Kit List: Suitable footwear (preferably walking boots or sturdy shoes, no flip-flops) 👟 Waterproof coat (and waterproof trousers, if you have them) ☔ Drinking water and a packed lunch 🥪💧 Personal medication 💊 (let us know confidentially about any medical conditions) Suitable walking attire 👕🧥

⚠️ Important Notes We welcome friendly dogs 🐕 on our walks, provided they remain on a lead at all times. Owners are fully responsible for their dog throughout the walk. We take photos 📸 during our walks for promotional and training purposes. If you prefer not to be included, just let us know on the day. Cancellation Policy: Full payment becomes due if a user cancels within 4 days of the activity. Any person cancelling outside of 4 days will receive a credit available to use within 90 days. Cancel at least 4 days before the event to receive a credit note for a future walk, valid for 90 days.
