Canterbury Cemetery Friends Open Day

Enjoy an open day with talks and tours of Canterbury's historic cemetery

The Canterbury Cemetery Friends Open Day will feature guided biodiversity and history tours, informal heritage discussions, and a special sneak peek inside the unused ragstone Remembrance Chapel, which was designed and built by Mr John Green Hall in 1877.

On the open day, guests are invited to:

* Learn more about why Canterbury City Cemetery is such a fascinating place

* Find out about preserving local heritage and biodiversity

* Discover an overlooked site that has a vast amount of potential as a thriving multipurpose resource for the surrounding community and beyond. Everyone is invited to get involved in this new community.
