Join Debbie from Cygnini Creative for a beginner-friendly art day in and around the precincts and cloisters of Canterbury Cathedral.
Join me for a beginner-friendly art day in and around the precincts and cloisters of Canterbury Cathedral - several dates available in August.
Starting and ending with drinks (included) at Garage Coffee in Sun Street, this small class will spend the day learning the skills needed to feel confident sketching “plein air”.
All resources are provided, including a sketchbook and pencil set to keep and use to continue your art journey! Last year's classes offered attendees an opportunity to explore the grounds of the Cathedral, whilst looking in detail at the architecture and plants that grow around the site.
I am on-site to offer guidance and support with starting points to explore. Here are some more details about the day: Before starting and while we have coffee at Garage (other drinks are available!), I will go through things to look out for and give an initial sketching lesson so you feel confident to put pencil to paper!
We will head to the Cathedral about 11am. We are able to have lunch in the Cathedral grounds, so please bring lunch or snacks to see you through the session.
We will return to Garage about 2-2:30, or whenever you feel you are finished, and talk about our day, share our pictures (if you want) and ask me about next steps should you wish to continue your sketching journey. I always aim for the whole day to be relaxed and supportive.
