Canterbury's Castle Quarter invites you to their free family-friendly dog show in St Margaret's Street, on Saturday 11 April from 10am to 2pm. The Lord Mayor, Keji Moses, will open the event and judge the Grand Finale. Whether you're a dog owner or just love to see cute canines strutting their stuff, come along for fun show categories, stalls, a selfie stop and more!

When is it? Saturday 11 April 2026 | 10am-2pm
Where is it? St Margaret's Street
Show entrants will have a 2 minute 'dog walk' in front of the judges, a 10 minute chat with other entrants, 5 minutes of judge deliberation followed by 5 minutes of prize-giving for the top 3 winners.

If you'd like to enter your dog, choose one of the following categories:
10am Grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Lord Mayor
10.05am Waggiest Tail
10.35am Young Handlers (Kids under 12)
11.05am Dog Most Like Its Owner
11.35am Prettiest Girl
12.05pm Handsomest Boy
12.35pm Best Rescue
1.05pm Golden Oldie (Dogs aged 8+)
1.35pm Grand Finale - Best in Show (Judged by the Lord Mayor)
Please note: due to capacity, your dog can only be entered in one category - so choose carefully!

Registration Stall - For sign-up and prize collection
Glory Dogs Stall - Pimp My Pooch station for dogs entering the competition
J&B Bakery Stall - Dog treats
Kids Zone - Face-painting and activity tables
Lord Whiskey Sanctuary Fund Stall - Charity tombola
Red carpet - for maximum glamour
Selfie stop - take a paw-fect photo with your furry friend
