Join us for a nocturnal walk along the river as it flows through Westgate Gardens.
We will look for bats foraging for insects in the gardens and over the river, using bat detectors to listen for their ultrasonic calls. Find out more about their fascinating lifestyle, and the insects on which they feed, and enjoy discovering the wildlife that emerges at night.
Insect activity is very weather dependent so there are no guarantees, but we hope to find at least two species of pipistrelle, as well as Daubenton's bats flying low over the water.
Bring a torch for safety, though we will use them as little as possible. Wear warm clothes.
Not well suited for wheelchairs.
Numbers are limited to 20. *Tickets on sale from 1 August*
No dogs please.
