‘A City Fit for The Queen’: Elizabeth I’s Visit to Canterbury in 1573

A public lecture by Cressida Williams.

Cressida Williams is the Archives and Library Manager at Canterbury Cathedral where she leads the team managing and providing access to the written collections and historic object collections of the cathedral.

Keeping with the local history theme of our annual Lyle Lectures, Cressida will examine Elizabeth I’s visit to Canterbury in September 1573 which included the Queen’s 40th birthday celebrations.

ADMISSION : FREE TO HA MEMBERS, BRANCH MEMBERS & STUDENTS; OTHERS £5.00. Branch membership is £10 per year.
