Dominating the landscape are the iconic 12th-century Reculver Towers, set among the remains of a Roman fort and Saxon monastery managed by English Heritage —an ideal spot for a scenic walk or picnic.
Reculver’s peaceful shingle beach offers stunning views of the Kent coastline and is an excellent spot for fossil hunting.
Reculver Country Park is the perfect place to enjoy coastal and circular walks as you admire the rich archaeological and natural heritage of the area. In the winter months you can enjoy spotting thousands of migratory birds while in the summer, sand martins nest in the cliffs above the beach. It is also home plenty of fascinating flora and fauna.
For the children, a fantastic roman inspired play park is available year round.
