Ramsgate Main Sands are a popular stretch of long sandy beach, next to the Uk's only Royal Harbour and Marina. There are children's amusements, nearby arcades, and restaurants offering al fresco dining, as well as kiosks serving hot and cold food & drinks, deck chair and lounger hire, and toilets.

  • 2025 Seasonal Lifeguards: Weekends & Bank Holidays Saturday 24th May – Sunday 13th July then daily Saturday 19th July – Sunday 7th September 10am-6pm

  • Deckchair Hire
  • Dog Ban in place at all times between 1st May and 30th September.
  • Parking
  • BBQs allowed only after 6pm. Please take rubbish & coals, etc away, and ensure they are fully extinguished

Be Beach Safe. This means checking the weather and the tides, keeping an eye on your family, and not using inflatables. In an emergency, call 999 for the Coastguard. 

Please remember, if you are visiting our beaches and bays, 'Respect, Protect and Enjoy' and leave only your footprints.
