This self-led walking tour of Canterbury has been created to help visitors discover more about the famous people and events that have shaped Canterbury's history. Created by the Canterbury Society with input from the local community, there are 15 stops including:

Sarah Baker 1736/7-1816 Theatrical entrepreneur and actor
Aphra Behn 1640-1689 Writer, poet, translator
Ian Dury 1942-2000 Singer/songwriter, artist and actor
Elizabeth Elstob 1683-1756 Writer, scholar and translator
John Lyly 1553-1606 Play wright, parliamentarian
