Halloween in Canterbury

Spend spooky season exploring our cobbled streets and haunted coastline

Embrace your spooky side this autumn and take a magical, misty trip to Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay for Halloween.

There are so many haunts waiting for you here, from cosy historic pubs brimming with tall tales (and warming drinks) to fascinating attractions dressed up for Halloween with events for all the family to enjoy. We've got some boo-rilliant adventures in the city centre, including seasonal trails, trick-or-treat events, museum fun and fancy-dress parties for grown-ups.

If you want to take yourself on a spook-tacular adventure? Download the Canterbury & Coast app and enjoy a free Ghost Story Trail that takes you to locations across the city that inspired haunting tales over the centuries (there's even a special giveaway on this trail running from 17-31 October).

During your visit, don't forget to book on to one of the famous Canterbury Ghost Tours or take a lantern-lit adventure with Canterbury Punting.

And to top it all off Canterbury's International Arts Festival will also be providing over 100 events, including some spine-chilling shows, over half-term.
