Portrait of a Dog with Simon Postgate - The Horsebridge Arts Centre

Immortalise your pooch with a portrait good enough to hang in your home. Simon Postgate guides you through the processes and decisions involved with producing a detailed and dramatic charcoal drawing of a dog.

The technique employed involves using charcoal and oiled charcoal on high quality Italoan paper. The emphasis at the start of the class is on accuracy using tried and tested methods such as measuring and using a grid, before adding tone and detail to the drawing.
