Captain Breadbeard's Alternative Comedy Night - Cosy Club

Dave Watt (aka Captain Breadbeard) hosts his monthly alternative stand-up comedy night in the heart of Canterbury.

November's special guests include Amelia Hamilton, Jody Kamali, Ian Brawn and Jess "The Mess".

Headliner Amelia Hamilton is a stand-up rap comedian blending razor-sharp stand-up with rapid-fire rap. She is the winner of the 2025 ISH Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer and has featured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC iPlayer. A runner-up in the 2024 Komedia New Comedy Awards and a nominee for the BBC New Comedy Awards, Hamilton has been praised as “unapologetically incisive, clever, cutting and funny to an almost ridiculous extent” Smart, subversive and gloriously off-beat, she is one of the most distinctive new voices in comedy.
