Join us for a nocturnal walk along the river as it flows though Westgate Gardens.
Date: Tuesday 22nd September.
Time: meet at 18.50 for walk from 19.00–20.30.
Location: meet in Toddlers Cove car park (CT2 8BG)
Join us for a nocturnal walk along the river as it flows though Westgate Gardens. We will look for bats foraging for insects in the gardens and over the river, using bat detectors to listen for their ultrasonic calls. Find out more about their fascinating lifestyle, and the insects on which they feed, and enjoy discovering the wildlife that emerges at night. Insect activity is very weather dependent so there are no guarantees, but we hope to find at least two species of pipistrelle, as well as Daubenton’s bats, flying low over the water.
