The House of Agnes is Grade Two Star-listed and dates back to the 15th Century. It was referred to by name in Charles Dickens' novel David Copperfield.
Centrally located, it boasts the largest walled garden in Canterbury and free parking. Close to Canterbury West train station and a short walk from the Cathedral, this historic property has eight boutique-style rooms and eight modern 'stable' rooms, all stylishly furnished and with amenities including flat-screen TV, DVD player, free WiFi, hairdryer and well stocked beverage tray. A DVD library and MP3 docking station are also available. An 'honesty bar', comfy lounges and library with eclectic decor and quirky furnishings create an interesting talking point and add to the friendly atmosphere that prevails here. Breakfast, set out in the wood-panelled Quadrant room is a highlight; a cold buffet greets all guests, followed by a freshly cooked Kentish breakfast using local farm produce.
