About Kent Cricket

The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence is one of Canterbury’s most distinctive venues, combining sporting heritage with modern event facilities. Home to Kent County Cricket Club since the 19th century, the venue offers a unique setting just a short distance from Canterbury city centre.

Set around an internationally recognised cricket ground, the venue provides panoramic views across the pitch and a memorable backdrop for conferences, networking events, awards dinners, exhibitions, weddings and private celebrations. Following a major £9 million redevelopment, the facilities include a range of flexible event spaces, hospitality suites and meeting rooms suitable for both small gatherings and larger events.

One of the ground's most famous features is its historic lime tree, which stands inside the boundary and has become a celebrated part of cricket folklore. The venue also hosts county and international cricket, adding prestige and character that few event spaces can match.
