Practical filmmaking for 12 to 17 year olds!

Hey everyone. I'm James Barriscale - a professional TV and film actor, filmmaker, voice over artist and editor. Sharing what I've learnt over 30 years of acting on TV & film sets all over the world, in a fun, inclusive way. Anyone can make a movie from the creativity we carry inside us. I love film. Making it, editing it, watching it. And The Movie Squad is a way of sharing my passion for it with the young filmmakers of today! We all have the means to make movies now in our pocket. So don't wait....CREATE!

The Shoot:

We meet up in the centre of Whitstable or at your home. We kick off with brainstorming ideas, writing the script, scenes breakdown, allocating roles, then grabbing the gear and heading out to the first location. Guiding them through each scene, each set up, showing them options for camera shots, framing, acting, sound, directing and collaborating without ego or fear of failure. After wrap we head back to base to debrief and watch the rushes. ​I then take the footage home, edit the film and upload to a private link for your screening! Downloadable, to keep forever.
