About East Kent and Canterbury Conservative Club
We are a Private Members Club and our principle aim is to provide members and their guests with a relaxing, convivial atmosphere in which to meet others and enjoy a variety of facilities including snooker, pool and darts.
For information on membership please contact the Club.
The club was formed in 1885 in Burgate Street. In 1889 the club moved to St Georges Street where membership topped 1000. On 1 June 1942 the club was destroyed and moved into temporary premises above a shop in the High Street.
In 1945 the club purchased 31 St Margarets Street, where it is still located today. The property was the former home of the then Chairman Mr S Bell, having previously been used as a dentist.
