The Pig at Bridge Place is just 56 minutes train from central London, tucked away just outside the historic village of Bridge, three miles south of Canterbury, explore our Kentish member of the litter, a red-bricked musical honeypot.

An intriguing old building with a rock-n-roll vibe, which over the past four decades has been home to some renowned parties and gigs playing host in the ‘70s to LED Zeppelin and the like.
It houses lots of period features, including large fireplaces, secret stairways, panelled rooms and endless nooks and crannies. In the refurb, all of these structural nuances are being respected and enhanced to create seven bedrooms along with numerous cosy bars and sitting areas.

The restaurant is filled with signature PIG touches – eclectic finds, mismatched crockery, antique furniture and a wall of Kitchen Garden pickling jars – but feeling markedly different to its sister restaurants with a kitchen that opens-up into the space, letting you in on the action.

With far reaching views out across the Kentish countryside, all bedrooms are finished with rustic textures, quintessentially English and soft velvet fabrics and rich colours. There are 7 characterful bedrooms in the main house, 12 light and spacious rooms in the Coach House, 2 family friendly lodges; and The Barn and rustic romantic two-storey hideaway in the old stables.

Additionally, 7 Kentish Hop Pickers’ Huts on stilts sit alongside the river in the grounds, each has been made from reclaimed materials and has a double-bedroom, a free standing bath, a monsoon shower and wood burning stove.
