2021 a year of celebration for Canterbury

For centuries, Canterbury has been where great stories are told. From the bloody history of its cathedral to mead-soaked tales from pioneering pilgrims. From the minds of cinematic legends to the Instagram feeds of artists and artisans. 2021 is the year to find and tell your story in Canterbury.

850 years ago, one of the most famous events in Canterbury’s history took place – the murder of Thomas Beckett in Canterbury Cathedral.

Visit Canterbury welcomes media enquiries to share stories about our fascinating city, coast and countryside.
