Buy In The Bay Blog
Welcome to our brand new webpage connecting the Bay to Visit Canterbury’s website. We’re excited to be able to bring you the latest news in the Bay, supporting all the wonderful businesses visitors can experience during their visit.
Businesses in Bay are the heart beat of our community and throughout the pandemic our essential and non -essential shops and eateries supported the community, from independent butchers, greengrocers, bakeries, pet shops and many others and as government restrictions would allow, non-essential businesses including restaurants pivoted their models to offer takeaway, deliveries and click & collect.
Other non-essential businesses were also evolving to deliver their customers favourite products to their homes. An entire community working together during this crisis and supporting local businesses - this has been heartening to see as its what Buy in the Bay is all about - Supporting local businesses.
It’s a new way of shopping right now for everyone and as the non-essential businesses were permitted to re-open from the 15th June we have been communicating their stories through social media. We’re looking forward to welcoming back our hospitality, hair and beauty businesses in July once the government confirms the reopening date.
In the meantime Herne Bay is still open for visitors with enhanced cleaning, social distancing measures and external signage to support the shops operating, allowing shoppers space and to take their time and most importantly the confidence to enjoy the beautiful seaside town of Herne Bay.
We will be featuring Bay businesses with interviews and updates and in the meantime if you want to find out who’s open for visits, deliveries and collections click this link https://bit.ly/2Vdv5TI
We hope you love our brand refresh too which coincided beautifully with our high street reopening from the 15th June!
