Summary

This short Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) trail is the perfect place to get away from it all - in all seasons and all weather. Sit on one of the benches and listen to the wind through the ginormous trees that tower over you. You’ll also discover stunning works of art on this exciting trail, highlighting the best features of the beautiful ancient woods (which are almost a thousand years old). There’s plenty to look at and watch out for, especially the Konik Ponies, a rare breed of pony that are helping to restore the woodland.

This peaceful woodland route is well looked after and the hardened path is ideal for wheelchairs and buggies. A great walk for families, dogs and runners alike, but please be respectful of the woods and take your litter away with you.

Maybe you’ll want to go off the beaten track and discover your own routes, which are great for cyclists or walkers with curiosity.
