Music has the absolutely unparalleled ability to cross borders, and the European Choral tradition is unmatched across the world in this regard. The invention of the printing press meant that music could break free of its traditionally parochial boundaries and be shared across the continent and in this concert we celebrate this 500 year tradition.
With music from as far away as Russia and Eastern Europe, The Low Countries, Spain, Scandanavia and everywhere in between, our audience is sure to be thrilled with the varied feast of Choral Music presented by Canterbury Chamber Choir in their opening concert of the season. We are delighted to be supporting CoppaFeel! the Breast Cancer Awareness Charity with a retiring collection at this concert.
