Medieval Pageant and Family Trail
Canterbury's Medieval Pageant returns for more medieval mayhem for all ages, even middle ages!
11-12.30 - Canterbury City Centre Its time to travel back to 1174, King Henry II and Queen Eleanor are visiting Canterbury to perform penance for the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket. Witness a colourful parade of medieval characters, knights on horseback, giants, music and plenty of drama!
12-5pm - Various city centre businesses, museums & galleries Take part in the Medieval Family Trail. With most venues opening their doors free of charge, try you hand at archery, discover how medieval materials were made, make your own shield and so much more!
For all children who collect at least 5 activity stamps, a FREE golden coin will be ready to collect from the Cathedral Shop!
