Baroque Passion presents an evocative and engaging programme of music featuring works by JS Bach, H. Purcell and T. Albinoni amongst others.

Purcell and T. Albinoni amongst others. JS Bach’s Oboe d amore concerto, provides an uplifting opening, with Stuart Orme being our Baritone soloist in Ich habe Genug, the work having been described as a ‘lullaby for eternal sleep’.( A Schweitzer) Stuart will also feature in Purcell’s pulsating aria ‘What Power art Thou’ sometimes now known as the Cold Song. The programme explores a rich variety of emotions and Albinoni’s Oboe Concerto in D minor leaves the listener in a positive upbeat mood. Programme JS Bach. Concerto for Oboe D amore in A (1st mov.)
