The city itself is compact and filled to the brim with child friendly attractions, shops and places to eat, ensuring that you will never run out of things to keep your children captivated and entertained. Canterbury is best explored on foot and due to its pedestrainised streets it is a safe place to visit with your children.

MorningMorning

Day Tours
The scene is set from the moment you step into our authentic Edwardian waiting room. You will be guided by staff in full period uniform. Our river tours last about 45 minutes, whilst you pass several medieval buildings the punter tells you the exciting stories about Canterbury's history. The script was perfected by our manager Andrew Whitely who is qualified as a green badge guide for Canterbury.

In 2014 we received a certificate of excellence by Tripadvisor for 178 reviews.

You can relax in our traditional hardwood punts, in comfortable cushioned seats & tartan blankets. We have hot water bottles available and even a canopy for when it rains. Punting our city tour is an essential part of any trip to Canterbury, because it escapes the busy city allowing you to see many parts of Canterbury only accessible by river.

Haunted River Tour
Take an Edwardian-style punt on a candle lit ghost hunting trip through the historic centre of Canterbury. Discover the frightening secrets that lie hidden in the darkness beneath Canterbury’s streets.

On the haunted river tour your traditionally dressed chauffeur will point out the places where ghosts have been sighted. You will be told a series of short ghost stories which, where possible, seek to explain these supernatural manifestations. Sit comfortably on our spacious, cushioned seats and wrap up warm (or hide!) in our cosy tartan blankets, with complementary hot water bottles.

Unlike our day tour, the haunted river tour requires advanced booking. Often you can book it during the day of departure with very short notice, but the latest reservations can be made is 5pm. The Haunted river tour lasts around 1 hour.
