The Canterbury E-Shop is managed and operated by Canterbury Visitor Centre. Please take the time to read these terms and conditions as they constitute the agreement between you and Canterbury Visitor Centre, governing your use of this E-Shop and the promotion of products through the E-Shop. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions.
Canterbury Visitor Centre reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
References in this document to 'E-Shop' refer to Canterbury Visitor Centre's online shop at www.canterbury.co.uk operated by the Canterbury Visitor Centre.
The E-Shop's Terms and Conditions are subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If any E-Shop's Terms and Conditions shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that E-Shop's Term or Condition shall be severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining E-Shop's Terms and Conditions.
We are only able to take orders through the E-Shop for delivery to the United Kingdom and EU countries.
We validate your order and credit or debit card details you submit to us before your order can be accepted. Once that has been done, we will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to the address you provide on your order. Our confirmation of your order brings into existence a legally binding agreement between us.
We accept all orders for products subject to availability.
We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. Payment will be debited to your account before the dispatch of your purchase. All credit and debit card payments are subject to validation and authorisation by the card issuer. We will not be liable for any delays to your order this may cause. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us or you fail authorisation, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
All product prices include Value Added Tax ('VAT') where applicable. These may change in line with UK government, Customs and Excise, EU directives, and other legal interpretations issued by relevant authorities. Promotions and prices you see in the Canterbury Visitor Centre do not necessarily apply to the E-Shop, and vice versa.
Local taxes and additional postage costs are NOT included in the quoted price of goods being delivered to the EU. You will be responsible for the paying of any and all duties and local taxes including any administration charges upon receipt.
We reserve the right to amend any prices without any prior notice and at any time and the right to add or withdraw any product at any time.
Postage and packaging is charged in addition to the cost of the item and is calculated by the total weight of your order. You will be quoted a postage and package rate before you check out and pay for your order.
In order to make a purchase on the Canterbury E-Shop, you must be at least 18years old and have the legal capacity to make the transaction.
Canterbury E-Shop accepts MasterCard, Switch/UK Maestro and Visa. Please ensure that they details you supply match those on your credit / debit
card billing statement. We reserve the right to cancel a purchase if payment is declined or incorrect cardholders details and billing information have been supplied.
Please note that there is a surcharge of 1.5% when processing credit card payments.
We will endeavour to dispatch your order within 7 working days, subject to availability. If E-Shop store products become temporarily unavailable, we shall hold your order until we have the product back in stock and will then mail the product to you in the usual way. In the event that an individual product becomes permanently unavailable then we will seek to offer you a suitable alternative or give you a full refund.
Please ensure that you check that upon receipt of a confirmation email or other communication from us that you check your details carefully. If there are any errors it is your responsibility to contact and inform us.
It is your responsibility to inform us if your details change at any time.
To the extent that we are permitted by law to limit our liability to you in connection with any order, that liability will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant product(s).
Your order will normally be dispatched within 7 working (seven) days of placing the order. Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods within such timescales, however, some delays are inevitable. We shall not be liable for any delay that you may suffer in this regard. Our trading hours are Monday to Saturday, 9.00am to 5.30pm. Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Our Call Centre is also open during these times when we will be pleased to take your call or reply to an email.
We are authorised to share your personal information with third parties who are used to fulfil your order or satisfy our obligations to you.
We have the right to cancel any order you make for any product if you fail credit or debit card authorisation and validation checks. If payment has been taken you will receive a full refund and an e-mail confirmation confirming such refund to the e-mail address you provide on your order.
You have the right to cancel any order you make for any product (other than personalised products and audio/video recordings or software which you may have unsealed or magazines) purchased through the E-Shop and you will receive a full refund. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, return it to us within 14 (fourteen) days of receipt in an unused condition for a full refund or exchange. When returning products to us for refund or exchange, you must pay for the appropriate postage costs. If a full refund is applicable or the exchange has been caused by an error on our part then we will refund the postage you have paid on receipt of the returned product.

Please wrap products securely, address to the Canterbury Visitor Centre and attach appropriate postage. Please remember to include your written covering letter giving the reason for return and any new requirements. We want you to feel confident about shopping through the E-Shop. If you have a problem, or are unhappy with your purchase, then we will put the matter right, please contact us using the links on our website.
We will take all reasonable care to keep the details of your order and credit card information secure but unless we have been negligent, we will not be liable for any losses you may suffer as a result of unauthorised access by a third party to the information transmitted by you when ordering products or services from the E-Shop.

The E-Shop Terms and Conditions are not intended to give rise to any right which is enforceable by a third party by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
