Canterbury Festival is Kent's International Arts Festival and attracts over 60,000 visitors every year to 200 events in two weeks.
The 2014 Festival saw internationally acclaimed artists come to Kent to perform a wide range of shows that embraced theatre, music, comedy, circus, cabaret, art sculpture, walks, talks and a whole division dedicated to science.
While the original Canterbury Festival started in the 1920s, 2015 marks the 32nd Festival in its present form. With help from the Arts Council's Catalyst Fund, the Festival can now boast a Spiegeltent as one of its venues alongside the Marlowe Theatre, Colyer-Fergusson Hall, King's School and Canterbury Cathedral.
The Festival hosts a superb classical music programme alongside some of the best touring theatre and musical acts in the country. The Festival brings international performers to Canterbury during the two weeks; 2014's programme included a European Premiere performed by acclaimed circus company Casus from Australia.
The full programme for 2015 will be announced in July. For more information, or to join the Festival eNews, please visit the website.
