Wildwood near Canterbury is a great day out for all ages where you can see amazing British wildlife past and present. Set in 40 acres of ancient woodland, Wildwood holds a stunning collection of over 200 British animals in natural enclosures.
See wolves, bears otters, foxes, deer, badgers, owls, wild horses, lynx, beavers, wild cats, bison, squirrels, wild boar, reindeer and many more as you walk around the twisting trails through our ancient British woodland. Finish your day by letting your kids go wild in our amazing adventure play park featuring Kent’s tallest vertical drop slide, zip wire, wild fort, twisting tube slide and tree-top towers, there is also a special area for under-5’s.
Join our experts at weekends and school holidays for free close-up animal talks and feeds when you can learn all about the animals, visit the Beaver Lodge Cafe or enjoy a picnic in our spacious picnic area.
Run by the Wildwood Trust, a conservation charity dedicated to protecting British wildlife, Wildwood is not just a wildlife park but is also a unique conservation project to save our precious British wildlife. Many of the animals that you will see at Wildwood are now extinct in the UK or are under threat, so when you visit you are playing your part in helping some of the UK’s most endangered animals.
Wildwood is open 7 days a week from 10am, situated on the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury. Free parking.

To join as a Wildwood member, simply ask in the Shop when you arrive at the park, once you have completed a membership banker's order form (bank details will be required) your first entry is completely free!
Please note that under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
* This is a donation to charity, helping to protect our wildlife. Always remember to gift aid your ticket price. Gift Aid means we can receive a contribution of 25% of your total ticket price, when it includes the 10% voluntary contribution, from the tax you have already paid to the government.
Please note that seating in the Cafe is limited during busy times. Microwave available for warming baby milk/food (to be warmed by parents/guardians) No dogs allowed - this includes guide dogs.
