That Is All You Need To Know at Gulbenkian TheatreDeveloped with The Lowry, Jacksons Lane, Greenwich Theatre and Redbridge Arts Centre
Humanities ability to challenge itself, to solve the impossible and crack the most complex of problems has defined the evolution of humankind. In this stunning piece of visual theatre Idle Motion will take you back to 1940s England and the secretive worlds of the cold huts of 'Station X' at Bletchley Park.
Using personal testimony, inventive staging and multimedia projection That Is All You Need To Know will explore the stories and lives of the remarkable men and women whose quiet work changed the course of our history. Over the past five years Idle Motion have created four pieces of physical and highly visual theatre and toured them nationally and internationally. They work collaboratively to devise their productions, embracing the unknown and using play, workshops and improvisation to form their ideas and pieces. Their commitment to watching and sharing theatre is essential to their work, as is the sense of enthusiasm and fun that remains a constant in their rehearsals.
Idle Motion are an Associate Company at the New Diorama Theatre and are supported the Oxford Playhouse and Greenwich Theatre. They are thrilled to have the support of Arts Council England, the British Council and award winning actress Juliet Stevenson. They are a small company with big ideas and a huge passion for creating exciting and beautiful new work.
