"Are we there yet?" Is the common cry of a bored child who has practically given up hope of getting stuck into some fun. Happily, there's always something fun for children of all ages to enjoy in the Canterbury district. From beaches and beautiful countryside, to bustling towns and wild beasts, there's no excuse to run out of ideas for the kids.

Safe shingle beaches, good walking paths and wide promenades are ideal for youngsters to enjoy a day on the beach during the warmer months. They'll have a great chance to work off some energy on the trampolines, playground or mini-golf on Herne Bay's seafront.

For those days when the weather calls for indoor activities, there are cinemas in Herne Bay and Canterbury, and leisure centres with large swimming pools in all three towns. Why not challenge the family to a game of Ten Pin Bowling, either in Whitstable, or the newly opened Ice 'N' Bowl in Canterbury.  There is so much here to discover for the kids-get stuck in!
