4 St. Alphege Lane,
St Peter's School is a family-run business which has been teaching English to foreign students since 1966. We are a medium-sized school with usually 50-100 students in summer and 20-40 during the winter. We have a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Most of our staff have been with us for many years and are trusted and experienced. St Peter's has been recognised by the British Council since 1972 and we are also a member of EnglishUK.
St Peter's School is situated inside an attractive, period building in the middle of the historic city of Canterbury, (pop 40,000). We are just a few minutes' walk from the magnificent cathedral and the city centre with its shops, cafes and sites from the winding medieval streets and their many ancient buildings. In the evening students can go to the theatre or cinema or relax in one of the many restaurants and pubs as well or attend the regular social evenings at the school.
The school has eight classrooms with use of audio-visual equipment. There is wifi throughout the school also an internet centre which students can use for self-study. At the top of the grand old building there is a games room and a large beamed sitting area with a small cafe bar where students can meet their friends for a cup of tea and a chat. During the summer months they can relax in the private 18th century walled garden.
