A quiet, single- tracked Kentish lane passes the cottages and comes to a dead end after about 1/3 mile. It continues as an off road footpath into Kings' Wood and Godmersham Park: this is part of the ancient Pilgrims' Way to Canterbury and one of the UK's National Trails, the North Downs Way.

A lot of cobwebs everywhere, but overall clean. A clock in the lounge would be nice, also a clock radio in the bedroom. The kitchen was quite serviceable although very dated. I thought for the overall facilities and quality the price paid is a little expensive. The gardens were lovely and a real plus. The location for us was very good. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
