Custom/Practice and the Corn Exchange Newbury present Shakespeare's ROMEO & JULIET

Directed by Rae Mcken (Artistic Director, Custom/Practice), in collaboration with choreographer Kenrick ‘H20’ Sandy and composer Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante from the Olivier award winning hip-hop dance company, Boy Blue.

Set amongst the princes and nobles of Verona, this dynamic new production combines the purity and beauty of Shakespeare’s original text with entrancing contemporary street dance.

Caught between the long-running and bitter feud of their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, the star-crossed lovers must fight against the odds in this much-loved and powerful tale of forbidden romance, jealousy and betrayal.

This dazzling and innovative version of the unforgettable classic is a must see for newcomers to Shakespeare and regular theatregoers alike.
