Creating Manga: Telling Tales with Words and Pictures Workshop
In this workshop, we’ll take a whirlwind tour of the whole process of making your own manga from scratch – from designing your characters and plotting a story to choosing what to put on the page, and even printing your comic when it’s done!
Sally Jane Thompson is a freelance comic creator and illustrator, whose work includes coming-of-age graphic novel Atomic Sheep, and children’s adventure serial Red Jack (with writer John Dickinson, for the Phoenix). Other projects include an ongoing series of thoughtful short comics focussed on the depth of experience underneath the seemingly mundane and everyday, and Blood and Roses, an illustration series inspired by Magical Girl anime and manga.
