In this workshop, we'll look at how to draw a chibi character. Not sure of what a chibi is? You will by the end of this workshop!
Your tutor, Irina Richards, will start the workshop with a brief chat about the difference between 'normal' and chibi characters and the different impressions they make. Irina will then demonstrate how to draw a chibi character, before you get started on creating your own!
Your chibi can be inspired by anything; you, a friend or even your favourite celebrity - and makes a perfect mascot you can create and re-create time and time again!
Irina Richards is a Cambridgeshire-based manga artist/educator and a member of Sweatdrop Studios, UK's first and best-known manga collective. Irina is the author of Chemical Blue, her original title, and the co-author of Creating Manga Characters. She has also produced artwork for NEO Magazine, presented sessions at Letraset Manga School, and is a regular workshop leader at Cambridgeshire Libraries.
