Country music start to appear at armed forces fund-raiser.
International cabaret star and award winning country music sensation, Mandy Winters will be appearing at a special fund-raising concert in Kent, in aid of local armed forces charity SSAFA. Mandy who has been dubbed 'Britain's answer to Dolly Parton' will be the star attraction at 'An evening of Country, in the Country', which will also feature the Adrian Brown Trio and held at Kingston Barn near Canterbury on Friday 8 May at 7.30pm.
'I was thrilled to have been asked to do a fundraising concert for SSAFA' said Mandy, who is a long standing suppporter of the British armed forces.
Tickets for the country music fund-raiser are priced at £12-00 only and can be obtained by calling SSAFA on 07804 540870 or on the door (subject to availability). All profits will go to SSAFA.
Canterbury and their team of volunteer caseworkers who help local armed forces families in need of support with issues ranging from debt to housing.
"I will always support our military personnel, they are, after all, putting their lives at stake, to keep us safe every day of their working lives", said Mandy.
SSAFA Canterbury's head of fund raising, Robin Aaronricks said, "Thanks to Mandy's generosity we are expecting a fun evening which raises lots of money to help local veterans and their families in need. Everyone is warmly welcome."
An evening of Country in the country starts at 7.30pm on Friday 8th May at Kingston Barn, the Street, Kingston, Canterbury, Kent CT4 6JB. Tickets are £12-00.
