Whitstable FunDay Sunday on Tankerton Slopes on Sunday 22 June 2014 from 11.00a.m. till 5p.m.
There have been Fun Days held on Tankerton Slopes, Marine Parade, Whitstable in June for at least the last 20 years with the Scouts' Midsummer Madness and then the Whitstable Umbrella Fun Day, both enjoyed by thousands of people. This tradition will be carried forward on Sunday 22 June 2014 when Whitstable FunDay Sunday is held.
There will be the traditional mix of a fairground, charity fund raising stalls, craft and trade stalls together with other attractions. It aims to be a good family day out. The attractions include:
Flypast by Hurricane, Lancaster & Spitfire of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Fairground rides from Traditional Fairground Amusements featuring their Big Wheel, chairoplanes, children's roundabout, Cowboy inflatable slide plus candy floss.
F1 in Schools represented by the national champions Wilmington Grammar School for Boys' award winning Pit Stop display.
Face painting by Funtastic Faces.
Uncle Myles with his Punch & Judy and magic tricks.
Softy Tots soft play area suitable for children upto age of 7 yrs old.
A performance by The Inspirations singing group. This choir is attached to the British Lung Foundation.
Many Hoots Owl Rescue Centre with their static display of owls and other Birds of Prey.
