University of Kent,
Gulbenkian is a key part of the University of Kent's Art Centre offering innovative, engaging and high quality arts activity for and with the public, staff and students. It provides a key role in delivering the University of Kent's commitment to Public Engagement proving an interface between the University and the local and wider community.
Gulbenkian has a particular commitment to the creative empowerment of children and young people and talent development. Featuring a 340 seat theatre, 300 seat cinema and café/cabaret space, the venue also organises bOing! Internation Family Festival in August annually.
Performances include stand-up comedy, theatre, dance and music with particular emphasis on young contemporary work. Regular screenings include broadcasts from the National Theatre and the Royal Opera House, blockbusters, 3D, independent, arthouse and foreign language films. It also houses a licensed café using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients with a performance space for live music, slam poetry and comedy.

By car: Situated on the campus of the University of Kent. Follow the A2/M2 towards Dover and turn off onto the A28 towards Canterbury. Continue up to a large roundabout and follow the signs to 'The University'. When on the University's campus, follow the signs to the Gulbenkian Theatre. A map is available to download from their website.
By train: The closest BR train station is Canterbury West. From there, buses are available by Westgate to take you onto the University's campus. From the University drop off point, follow the signs towards the library and the Cornwallis buildings and on to the theatre.

Free parking is available to Gulbenkian customers after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in any University car park.
