The Horsebridge Arts and Community Centre is located just yards from the beach in the centre of Whitstable town, on a site which has a long tradition of community and cultural activity and offers stunning sea views, a balcony café and rooms to hire for all your community needs.

The centre offers three versatile gallery spaces on the ground floor, with new exhibitions weekly. Featuring works from local art societies, popular community exhibitions and shows from solo and international artists.

The centre has a large performance space area with seating accommodating up to 150 or 240 standing for music and theatre. The space is fully air conditioned, and hosts gigs and events every week, the space is also used for parties, conferences, wedding receptions and classes.

Since the launch of the Horsebridge in April 2004, the centre has established itself as a quality venue at the heart of the arts, social, learning and leisure activities in Whitstable and the wider north east Kent area, with a footfall of over one-hundred-thousand year on year the centre is a busy and well used community resource.

The Horsebridge is fully accessible throughout, offering free Wi-Fi, can provide all your catering needs to your room, and is fully licensed.

The Horsebridge is a privately run charity, supported by Canterbury City Council.

Notes Our galleries are open 9am - 6pm daily (10am - 6pm Sunday's / 5pm winter hours). Open later for classes Monday - Saturday. Close at 5pm on Sundays in the winter.

As well as our galleries and performance space we have a number of smaller meeting rooms and workshop spaces, many with spectacular views, all of which are available to hire at very reasonable rates. All areas of the Centre are fully accessible to buggies or wheelchairs. Smoking allowed on café balcony. Dogs accepted in galleries and on café balcony.
