Rolling fields, roaming wildlife and rich vineyards

Outside of the city and seaside towns, you'll find some sensational places to shop, dine and drink hidden in the Kentish countryside.

Canterbury is blessed to be surrounded by luscious hops and award-winning vineyards, many of which offer cellar door tours and tastings. Take a trip out to Simpsons, Barnsole, and Chartham Vinyeards to stock up on still and sparkling wines, or head to one of the many picture-perfect Shepherd Neame pubs to sample local ales and soak up the scenery.

For Michelin-starred dining, there's The Sportsman at Seasalter or The Fordwich Arms by the River Stour. Or head to The Pig Hotel at Bridge if you'd like a like rural lux with your lunch.
